The Italian Heritage Group was founded in November 1985 by fifteen people who wanted their children to learn and understand their wonderful heritage. Their goals were to emphasize the culture, music, folk dances, language, people, and geography of the regions in Italy from which their parents had immigrated. Incorporated as Non-Profit in 1987, it became the Italian Heritage Association, Inc.
